Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership, training and direction for Sourcing, Product Management and Quality Assurance
· Solicit quotations, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, make recommendations based on cost, quality and delivery competitiveness
· Develop new suppliers; analyze supplier capabilities; research market (emphasis on fabrics), attend trade shows; visit supplier factories; and coordinate factory audits
· Manage product development from creation to shipment; coordinate new product design and samples
· Manage Quality Assurance inspections at multiple locations; monitor inspection schedule and daily tasks for completion; provide instructions for corrective action; develop and provide training to Quality Assurance inspectors
· Review material specifications with suppliers; identify issues and request engineering changes
· Supervise five to ten employees
· Travel within China - over 50% of the time with occasional travel to the US Headquarters
Requirements:
· Must have excellent spoken and written English and Chinese skills
· Proven business management and /or personnel supervision skills – strong in sourcing / business development, with experience preferable in US market
· Excellent project management skills, including creating schedules and timelines
· Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
· Ability to resolve quality issues with factory
· 5-10 years business management experience
· Minimum 2 years experience in textile industry is required
